Part of the enjoyment of

volunteering is talking to

gardeners of like mind and

sharing information or helping

with perceived problems.

At last years Canada Blooms show the perceived problem

was from a woman who thought the lack of ants was part

of the reason her peonies did not bloom. Her question to

the team at hand was,"Do you know where I can buy ants?"

at this years Canada Blooms Show the problem was again

lack of blooms but one person relayed that she had a

friend who had a hedge of peonies but did not like the

blooms so every year she cuts off all the buds so as not

to detract from the backdrop the bushes create for her

other flowers in the garden. Go figure.
