Mahogany (Glasscock 1937) Herbaceous Hybrid, Single, Red, 28", Early
Shiny mahogany red petals and large gold stamens; no pollen. Sweetly fragrant, makes a very good cut flower, light green foliage.
Parentage: Lactiflora x officinalis Otto Froebel
I have always been drawn to the darker varieties and the unusual. This deep red almost mahogany coloured bloom is definately a keeper in my books.
