Well all my peonies have now finished blooming with the
exception of one which still has a few side blooms out front
in a double pink. In all I had 68 peonies bloom this year.
I am now compiling a list of bloom dates for the
Canadian Peony Societies records and will be sending this
out soon. The season has been exceptionally dry but all
the plantings appear to be holding out well.
Now is the time to stock and look at acquiring new
acquisitions and or removing ones I'm not happy with.
The one performer that was really outstanding this year
was Red Charm. Multiple blooms large sturdy heads
vibrant blood red colour.
